By Trevor Weir

Since it's conceptualization of August 1999 Blogs have covered topics various subjects , themes and opinions. And writing styles found in them can range from serious to humorous or even formal to whimsical. Despite Blogging's incredible variety a commonality can be found in all of them, they are here to help spread someone's personal or corporate view on the world.

Canada's Globe and Mail reported in 2008, that for the first time over 1.5 Billion people had access to the internet. Thanks to the ease with which Bloggers can now attempt to monetize their blogs, you can bet that hundreds of thousands of bloggers are trying to do exactly this. But how really is it done?

Getting your inner most thoughts out for the entire world to not only read but comment on is now as easy as getting either a free blog on wordpress.com or blogger.com. Both are public but one is owned by wordpress and the other is owned by Google.

Blogging allows a non-technical person to use an online editor similar to write to their hearts content and have that information along with associated pictures and videos to be stored in database and made available to the world.

Thousands of non-technical people are joining the blogging arena on a hourly basis. The ease of entry and ability to be listened to is encouraging the masses.

Topics that you can post on blogs are virtually infinite, those can be anything from Politics , Current Events, Foods -- to even how you spent your evening with your adorable pet Pomeranian.

Currently, there has been a smoky underground rumor claiming that several guys are cleaning up financially using their blogs. 2 internet marketers with different blogging styles, Yanik Silver and Ben are rumoured to be making 5-7 figures.

In fact, there is quite a small group of people who have become so very successful with their internet blogging that it has become their full time job earning money enough to support themselves and even beyond that. But for every 1000 that try, I would guess that there are 998, with less than stellar stories regarding their online earnings.

If you examine the blogs of those who are successful, there are a number of common themes being used in these success stories. We are going to list a few of them, but by no means should you think that this is the only formula of success. Some ways in which others are monetizing their blogs involves... Joomla or Wordpress Plugin Advertising Donations Selling their blogs Major Sponsorships Affiliate programs such as Clickbank, Commission Junction

Blogging has increased at a horrendous pace and as these millions of blogs take up more incredible real space on the net, it stands to reason that advertisers and others would take notice.
