A Potpourri Of Definitive Feature Film Overviews

By Claudine Simpson

For a long time we have used the video store as one of our main ways to access movies. Instead of buying or renting the dvd, people now can choose a movie download instead. Here are some examples of movies you can acquire through a movie download site.

The Good Night: Delightful enough Tylenol fantasy in reference to a prior pop megastar, now a uninterested composer for Television advertisements, who craves to find his accurate fantasy gal. Then she gets to be a tad too genuine. A brunette Gwyneth dials down her radiate to "dull" in this debut film from her sibling, who additionally inscribed the movie. Third-billed Gambon hardly appears. Lucy DeVito is Danny's genuine-life baby girl. Cast includes Penelope Cruz, Martin Freeman, Michael Gambon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Simon Pegg, Danny DeVito, Keith Allen, and Lucy DeVito. (93 minutes, 2007)

Scandal at Scourie: Lukewarm Garson-Pigeon entry set in Canada, engaging Lutheran couple who stun society while they plan to adopt a Catholic kid. Cast includes Greer Garson, Walter Pigeon, Donna Corcoran, Agnes Moore-head, and Arthur Guards. (124 minutes, 1957)

Digging to China: Here's a genuine although one-note film in reference to the growing kinship between a bothered 10-year-old gal Wood and a psychologically retarded youthful guy Bacon. Its eccentric attributes appear a tad too contrived, albeit the behaviors might not be faulted. Cast includes Timothy Hutton. Evan Rachel Wood, Kevin Bacon, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Cathy Moriarty, Marian Seldes. (98 minutes, 1997)

Music for Millions: Teary story of battle-newlywed Allyson, a cellist in Iturbi's orchestra, gallantly delaying to have a toddler for her spouse's return. O'Brien is her precocious baby sibling. When there's lots of Chopin and Debussy, Durante robs the film with boredom. Cast includes Margaret O'Brien, Jimmy Durante, June Allyson, Marsha Seek, Hugh Herbert, Marie Wilson, Larry Adler, and Ethel Griffies. (120 minutes, 1944)

Shining Through: The movie is set in WWII. Linda Voss is a legal secretary with a Jewish relative in Germany. She figures out her boss is working for the government on covert operations. She wants to help, and she speaks German. She eventually gets an assignment to go undercover in Germany. What will her fate be?

Bewitched: Isabelle is a witch, living in the San Fernando Valley, and trying to not use her supernatural powers. She finds herself being wooed by actor Jack Watt to play the role of Samantha the witch in a remake of the old 1960's sitcom Bewitched. What a strange twist of fate.

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story: This film is a biography of the life of martial arts superstar, turned actor, Bruce Lee. We follow his life from childhood in Hong Kong, filled with demons, to his exodus to the US, as suggested by his father. In the US he opens a martial arts school, and pursues an acting career.

Hanky Panky: Blameless designer Crazier is pursued by snoops, cops, etc. Unsurprising, hardly ludicrous comedy-thriller, with Radner miscast as the love interest. The film was meant to be a follow-up to Mix Insane, although Richard Pryor's part was revised for Gilda. You've seen it all before, and more superior. Cast includes Gene Crazier, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard Widmark, Robert Prosky, Josef Sommer, and Johnny Sekka. (88 minutes, 1982)

The Interpreter: U.N. translator Silvia Broome overhears a death threat made against an African leader. She knows that she was seen and fears for her life. Upon reporting the event to law enforcement, she finds that help will not come easy.

To find downloads for music or games, try phrases like "Video Rentals". Not all searches get the right result. If the first one fails to work out try another one. "Watch DVDs Online" would be worth a try.
