An Independent World Ventures Review

By Ellie Gant

World Ventures launched on December 10, 2005. The little company soon became established in the network marketing field. To date, they have made over $150 million in sales. They are getting a good sized chunk of the 8 trillion dollar world wide travel industry.

The company sells Dream Trip packages to its members. In exchange for a one-time payment, and small monthly maintenance fee, members travel for wholesale prices. World Ventures says most members recoup the cost of their membership with their first two trips. The company also allows members to create ?mini travel businesses? of their own, and share in the wealth.

This is called the LTC package. Leisure Travel Consultants, as they are called, get a customized website that offers the two World Ventures products. They are paid when people book travel through their website, and also when people sign up to be LTCs under them. They are encouraged to show their site to friends and family. This misses the whole point of having a website.

This kind of advice is terrible. Instead of marketing a website to people they actually know, members should be taught how to market the website to people who are already surfing the web looking for travel deals. This is such a common problem with MLM, people are not taught how to sell effectively. The people who follow the company's advice often soon drop out of the program in frustration. That creates yet another frustrated person who has nothing good to say about network marketing.

People who achieve success, sometimes incredible success with MLM, are successful marketers. The knowledge they gain is useful in all marketing, though, not just MLM products. The trick is to know how to market to buyers who are using the internet to do research and make purchases. People who learn internet marketing begin to sell all kinds of products in all kinds of areas. These products pay out a commission on every product sold. There are thousands of people who are working full time out of their homes, just selling other people?s products.

Marketing can be learned by getting a regular college degree, by reading books and experimenting, or by taking an online marketing course. There are some sizeable advantages to taking the online marketing courses.

The first is, people don't have to figure it out all by themselves, through trial and error. They have people who know what they're doing teaching them. Second, there are no core curriculum requirements with online marketing courses. Just the marketing education, and for way less than a four year degree costs.

In review, World Ventures is an upstanding company, but the marketing advice they give to their members is not sufficient to give their members a real understanding of how to get the most out of their custom travel websites.
