How can I use a Keyword Search Engines to find a Profitable Niche?

By Brian G. Chadra

If a particular keyword has a higher density on your web page, then the likelihood of your page obtaining a better search engine ranking increases. Note that not all search engines bother with keyword density and indeed even those that do have their own algorithm for computing the density of a keyword. However, the principles described in this article is general enough to help your page improve its ranking in the engines that take keyword density into account.

The usefulness of a search engine depends on the relevance of the result set it gives back. While there may be millions of web pages that include a particular word or phrase, some pages may be more relevant, popular, or authoritative than others. Most search engines employ methods to rank the results to provide the "best" results first. How a search engine decides which pages are the best matches, and what order the results should be shown in, varies widely from one engine to another. The methods also change over time as Internet usage changes and new techniques evolve.

It's understanding how a search engine identifies a keyword or keyword phrase that throws many people for a loop. I've had quite a few people ask me how a search engine knows which of the words on their pages are the "keywords." These people are under the assumption that engines like Google and Yahoo "read" through a page and compile a list of keywords the page is about.

The key to ranking well in Google is optimizing the visible keywords on a page. As I mentioned in Part 1 of this series, some webmasters back in the early days of SEO thought that stuffing all available areas full of keywords was the way to rank highly in the search engines. However, these early black hat SEO techniques weren't completely successful because the keywords often didn't match the actual content on the page and mislead both search engines and users. However, those early black hat SEO techniques were almost on the right path because keyword optimization is important in helping your site rank well in search engine queries.

Keyword analysis is an important and first step when you are going for SEO. So to choose the best keywords you can use the Google AdWords. First choose the most relevant keywords to your website and highest global searching volume keywords from the Google AdWord's list. Then put it in Google search bar within "" and note the result that known as competition volume.(ie:I put this "light pins" in google search bar then the result come 405,000). After collecting these two volumes then value the ratio. Which keyword has more global search volume and low competition, those keywords are best to choose.

Before you do any type of search engine marketing, you have to understand your target audience and know the search terms they are using. Once you know the search terms being used, these can be included in the content of your Web site as keywords and keyphrases.

If your site falls into any of these categories, Keyword Search Marketing (or Search Engine Marketing - SEM) may be a solution for you. This is effectively paid search to bring an advertisement for your website to the top of any search page. There is a train of thought that in some cases, trying to move up the free, organic rankings with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is so time-consuming and complex that it's better to spend a small amount of money on buying Keyword Search Ads.

Where can you locate free keyword search engines for an internet business on a budget? For the newcomer to internet marketing, the major sites such as Google or Yahoo can provide a quick method to locating tools that are gratis. Many of them are contained within these sites themselves which contain advertisements about related material. However that doesn't affect their functionality in the least. You can access them easily through a graphical interface designed for the first time user.
