Look At 7 Excellent Movie Opinions For You To Pick From

By Earl Mclaughlin

At this moment is the best time in history to be a movie aficionado. It used to be that the only means you could see a celebrated movie was to visit the movie theater. Soon after video stores came on the scene but you had to go over there and many times the films were out of stock. You also needed to be anxious about getting the show back to the store in a timely manner or you had to pay a late fee. Even now when you can get movies in the mail, you still have to wait. Select from the summaries below and download a good movie to view this evening!

Thunderheart - There have been a number of murders on the Sioux Indian Reservation. The FBI goes in to deal with the circumstances. One agent, Ray Levoi, has Sioux blood. As he investigates the case he soon realizes there is much more going on than some accidental killings.

Above the Law - This is Steven Segal's breakout film. He plays a Chicago Policeman who takes matters into his own hands. As the title implies, he is 'above the law'. He uses his large body and martial arts skills to inflict destruction on the bad guys. Stars include Steven Segal, Pam Grier, and Sharon Stone. (1988 Action)

Mysterious Lady - An Austrian armed forces officer (Nagel) falls in love with Garbo, clueless that she is a Russian agent. Another artificial plot made serviceable by Garbo herself. Cast includes Greta Garbo, Conrad Nagel, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Albert Pollet, and Edward Connelly. (96 minutes, 1928)

The Prince and the Showgirl - Fairly good but slow moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia (Olivier) throughout the 1911 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with commendable performances by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Marilyn Monroe, Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes, 1957)

Say It Isn't So - Amiably un-ambitious Klein falls for the new hairdresser in town Graham. They have consensual sex and then Klein discovers that Graham is his sister. It is a total flop. Cast includes Heather Graham, Chris Klein, Orlando Jones, Sally Field, Richard Jenkins, John Rothman, Brent Briscoe, and Sarah Silverman. (96 minutes, 1988)

Inferno - American returns to N.Y. from school in Rome to examine the gruesome death of his sibling, and finds "sinister moms" wreaking paranormal confusion on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, hypnotic shocker by Italian terror genius Argento doesn't make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes, 1984)

Basic - While things go askew throughout an armed forces work out, base captain Daly brings in Travolta, the best interrogator he ever had, to query the surviving members of the squad, whose stories do not add up. In reality a whodunit, this movie keeps us guessing, as a good conspiracy should. Cast includes John Travolta, Connie Nielsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Daly, Roselyn Sanchez, and Harry Connick. (2003 minutes, 1995)
